A hands-on word game that helps learners understand prefixes, suffixes, and meaning by actually using them. Built by a student who struggled with literacy — for learners who need a different way in.
FIX is a word-building card game. Players start with a base word and build it out using prefix and suffix cards — then explain what the new word means.
Flip a base word card to start the round.
Play a prefix or suffix from your hand.
Say the new word aloud.
Tell the table what it means.
Earn 3 points if the table agrees.
"A teacher explained prefixes and suffixes in a way that finally clicked. That changed everything."
FIX came from a real moment in a classroom. Ruby-Grace struggled with reading and writing for years.
Then one teacher made it click. FIX was built to give other learners that same breakthrough — through playing, not sitting.
